Every great company begins with a problem, and a vision to solve it. For Alan Wu, that problem was personal. His manufactured goods were often arriving damaged, causing losses and frustration for customers. Determined to make a change, Alan discovered the dunnage air bag — a simple yet powerful solution for protecting cargo during transport. But in the late 90's, quality products and reliable production were hard to find in China. Rather than accepting these limitations, Alan decided to build something better himself — setting out to manufacture high-quality dunnage bags that could meet international standards and transform the industry.
In the early 2000's, he founded AtMet in Shanghai with a small but dedicated team, handcrafting just 100 bags a day. From those humble beginnings came a relentless pursuit of automation, innovation, and sustainability. This passion for excellence reduced costs for customers, improved consistency, and set AtMet on a path toward global success — a story built on innovation, persistence, and integrity.
Today, AtMet stands among the Top Three dunnage bag manufacturers worldwide, powered by fully automated, precision-engineered production systems and trusted by leading logistics and manufacturing companies around the world.
